The Democratic National Committee and Organizing for America, the successor organization to Obama for America, is seeking talented software engineers who are excited about empowering communities across the country to bring about our agenda of change. The Democratic National Committee’s Innovation Lab is creating diverse new tools for internal use as well as publicly facing sites that include BarackObama.com and Democrats.org.

Applicants should be talented engineers as well as creative self-starters with a passion for using technology to organize. Labs Engineers will also be asked to work closely and communicate with non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • You’ve built internet scale web applications with Ruby on Rails.
  • You’re excited about dynamic languages like Ruby and Python.
  • You are passionate about Test Driven Development
  • You have practical experience with a relational database and opinions about alternatives.
  • Must be able to work out of our Washington, DC headquarters. We are not considering telecommuting candidates at this time.
