JUNIOR WEB DEVELOPER - PAID SEARCH
Job Mission:
Venere is seeking to hire a junior, highly talented web developer to join the Search Engine Marketing team. The job will focus on the development of web based tools and applications for management of paid search campaigns in support of the daily activities of analysts. The successful candidate will be responsible for gathering business requirements and developing in full these applications using mainly PHP and SQL in an “agile” environment. Reporting to Paid Search Specialist, she/he will be an integral part of the Venere SEM team and will work towards achieving the overall team financial and growth objectives.
Venere SEM is a small and dynamic team that manages one of the largest marketing budgets in Europe. This is a unique opportunity to gain exposure/training to paid search marketing and to collaborate in developing cutting-edge online marketing software solutions.
Key Areas Of Responsibility:
Campaign management tools (development and support)
•Development of tools for monitoring and verification of landing pages / URLs
•Campaign uploading/editing
•Implementation of structural changes to campaigns
•Consistency checks of reporting and database tools
Analysis through Excel and Business Intelligence tools
•Supporting team in complex marketing analysis
•Supporting team in SQL and data extraction
•Supporting team in Excel functions and programming
•Supporting team in building custom reports within BI tools
Bidding Application development and maintenance
•Automation of bid management
•tools and UIs for data analysis
•data collection (bidding sessions, analysis, ...)
•bid deployment across paid search campaigns
Search Engines management through APIs
•Data retrieving procedures using APIs
•Bidding and campaign editing through APIs
•Consistency checks across campaigns
Success Criteria:
•Must be able to hand-code in each of the following: PHP, SQL, xHTML, CSS, Javascript. Good knowledge of MySQL, knowledge of AJAX and Sybase a plus
•Must have High competency in Excel, in development of advanced functions and in exchanging data with a web based environment
•Analytical skills combined with a solid OO design capabilities, knowledge in data structure, algorithms and development methodologies
•Excellent communication skills
•Fluency in English language
•Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Economics degree or equivalent experience
Desirable:
•Background in web/on-line applications, SEM, SEO, Software for SMBs , SaaS , and Google Adwords - preferred
