Web Designer Job description: Independently create and maintain
political web sites (including both art and coding) with feature sets
including integration with online payment systems and email collection
systems. Rapid response capabilities dealing with both graphical and
coding elements of sites.

Skills required: Expert experience building Wordpress websites (usually 30-40 pages,
including about 10 pages with significant .php differences). Experience writing a theme from scratch,
including writing full .php scripts (without the use of a an
independent base theme) and writing .css files to go along with those

Experience creating rapid-response microsites (these can use existing
Wordpress/Drupal/Joomla themes which are modified to meet the clients'
needs)

Graphic design capabilities (for building the content of high-level
political sites), and ability to work with both bitmap and vector
graphics (for building attractive, unique campaign logos). Ability to
set up custom video players and rotating graphics on sites (either in
flash or using another method).

Ability to integrate sites with email systems for collection of email
addresses (including iContact), including autoresponders. Ability to
set up sites to use custom landing pages for contribution tracking
(using Piryx)

Ability to set up pop-up splash pages. Ability to set up custom
multimedia viewers (which contain categories of videos)

Other helpful skills: Experience building iPhone and/or Facebook apps,
experience creating attractive, interactive flash objects and sites.
